Bram Stoker Festival 2014
Treat the whole family to a gothic weekend in the run up to Halloween with the Bram Stoker Festival. Running from the 24th to the 27th, the festival celebrates the life and work of Dublin’s most famous horror novelist. With a massive schedule of events, including plenty of family-friendly activities, the festival is sure to be filled with spooky fun!

Tuesday
Work Begins on Poolbeg Incinerator
Indications of building was observed by NewsFour, as trucks carrying building material entered the site on Tuesday. Although the contracts have been signed since September 19th, there has been no obvious signs of construction of late. That has now changed, and locals can expect a sharp increase in activity around the site and on the access roads to Poolbeg.

Artisan Parlour & Grocery Launch
Artisan Parlour & Grocery had their official launch in Ringsend on 8th October. It has been open for a few weeks and has already become a much talked about and welcome addition to the village. It certainly drew a crowd and many of Dublin’s famous and beautiful showed up to support proprietors Martin Thomas and his wife Venetia Quick.

Mrs Doubtfayre in the RDS
Get inspired with a musical twist at Mrs Doubtfayre this weekend! Mrs Doubtfayre takes place today in the RDS, and consists of a craft fair, accompanied by two performances of amateur drama group Inspiration’s musical adaptation of Mrs. Doubtfire.
