St. Vincent’s hosts Stop Smoking Course

Stop smoking

St. Vincent’s University Hospital will host a free Stop Smoking Course from September 12th to October 17th.

The course will last six weeks with sessions running from 5.30pm to 7pm. It takes place in a group format in which people share their experiences of smoking in a friendly and safe environment.

It will feature the involvement of experts in smoking to make the process of smoking easier for attendees. They understand the difficulties of quitting smoking and help people to overcome these difficulties, and treat everyone’s views and confidentially with respect.

The course will be situated in the Allied Therapy Suite on the first floor of the hospital. Anyone seeking to find more information or book a place on the course can do so by contacting the Department of Preventive Medicine by calling (01) 2214958 or emailing smokingservice@svuh.ie.
