COPD Support Ireland has organised an important patient conference on Tuesday November 15th ahead of World COPD Day.

“Save Your Breath” will be COPD Support Ireland’s first national patient conference. The event, which will be held at the Royal College of Physicians, Kildare Street, Dublin 2, is supported by A. Menarini, GSK and Novartis and is open to people with COPD.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is more commonly known by names known such as bronchitis and emphysema. It is estimated that there are 380,000 people suffering from the condition in Ireland.

Leading British and Irish experts will be taking part in the conference to discuss the most recent developments in COPD treatment and care. Attendees will be able to quiz politicians on their plans to develop a COPD health policy.

There will also be a series of lifestyle and well-being workshops which will cover practices such as de-stressing through mindfulness, lung exercises through singing and gentle movement through dance.

The conference is booked on a first-come, first-served basis and can be done by calling 01 28 33 500. More information can be found at this website.
