Lansdowne Football Club has completed the acquisition of the sports grounds located off Claremont Road in Sandymount from YMCA Dublin. This follows formal approval for the deal from the Charities Regulator. The acquisition of this significant site in Dublin 4 will provide Lansdowne FC with the ability to extend its sporting facilities

When the 1923/24 season began, Michael O’Brien was made captain of Leicester City Football Club. He was a natural leader and the job brought out the best in him. He started the season by playing 22 consecutive games for Leicester and he was often their best player.
