This week sees Pearse Street Library play host to two Christmas events.

Get ready to join in with the Ceiliúradh Chamber Choir tonight at 7.15pm, as they go on a Carolling Trot Around Europe. Directed by Breda O’Shea, the choir will be singing carols from north, south, east and west, and audience participation is encouraged!

Then on Saturday from 2pm, StoryGate will be spinning tales of Yuletide legends and traditions from across the continent with their Christmas in Europe show. Storytellers Simone Schuemmelfeder and Michael Phelan will introduce the audience to myths such as the trickster Yule Lads and Befana the Christmas Witch through stories and puppetry. The show is suitable for children from five years of age and their families. Admission is free, but booking is essential, so call the library on (01) 674 4886 to avoid disappointment.
