Dublin book initiative launches

One City One Book

Wednesday at Pearse street library sees the launch of Dublin City Council’s “One City, One Book” initiative.

The idea is to encourage everyone to read a book connected with the capital city during the month of April every year. This year’s chosen book is “Echoland” by Joe Joyce and Dublin City Council Public Libraries have organised a programme of events which will animate the characters, scenes, sounds and era featured in Joyce’s novel, set in Dublin in the 1940s.

All events are free and full programme details are available here.
