It’s Bloomsday time!

People enjoying a Bloomsday lunch

Yes it’s that time of the year again and NewsFour have picked out just a couple of events from the packed itinerary that makes up the Bloomsday festival, currently underway and running until Friday 16th June.

If you are reading this first thing Wednesday morning, then you may still have time to get down to North Great Georges Street to catch the “Joyce Bus”. Tickets are a rather pricey €30, but hopefully the half-day jaunt will be worth it.

If you are a little slower off the mark, then you may prefer Thursday’s event. “Ulysses in Sandymount Tour”. It costs €16 and kicks off at 2PM, also from the James Joyce Centre on North Great Georges Street. The tour is a train journey through some of the more famous landmarks from the book, and it ends at Connolly station, some 180 minutes later.
