Magic Happens at new Florist in Ringsend

By Susan O’Brien

Hi I’m Susan, I have worked in the floral industry since I was 15 years of age, working in Scarecrow Florists, formerly located in Sandymount, before moving to Donna the Florist in Donnybrook, whilst completing my undergraduate in Trinity College, Dublin. On completion of my degree, I worked in the financial services industry and continued to help out during peak business  periods in the florists. Most recently, I have been QQI accredited in ‘Train the Trainer,’ specialising in Flower Arranging thanks to the Google initiative and the Anchorage for providing the means to complete it.  After I had my two children it was time to return to my first love, flowers.

Recently I have opened my new shop in Thorncastle Street and I am delighted to be here in Ringsend. Our clients are the centre of everything we do and we approach each brief with precision and sensitivity, interpreting your vision into flowers that we hope you and your recipient will love. Using time honoured methods in floristry and floral care and respecting the environmental challenges that face us all, we offer a bespoke, personalised service. Starting with perfect flowers and foliage, I love to layer different textures, multi-tonal colour and fragrance to create a hand-tied bouquet of natural elegance, with meticulous attention to detail.  Just like nature, no two bouquets are the same.  We are so excited to welcome the community into our Floral Studio, be it for Floral Arrangements or to take part in our Workshops that we will be running throughout the year.  Passing on the knowledge and wisdom of Flowers and their healing and wellbeing qualities is at the heart of our Business and we are eager to get started!!!
