Sandymount Students attend Dublin Kite Festival
Students from Sandymount were among the 7000 attendees at the North Bull Island in Clontarf for the Dublin Kite Festival. Sunday saw kite flyers and spectators from all over the country converge for a full day of free activities.

The Cinema Corner – June 17th
Screening at the Lighthouse late Saturday night is Brian Yuzna’s 1989 horror satire Society, an ’80s riff on the Bodysnatchers theme in which a high school kid discovers the rich members of his community are secretly engaging in murderous orgies. Boasting incredible practical effects by Screaming Mad George, this is allegorical horror at its best.

D4 projects shortlisted for RIAI Irish Architecture Awards
Over 50 projects have been shortlisted for this year’s RIAI Irish Architecture Awards, three of which are situated in Dublin 4. Plus Architecture in Sandymount, John Monahan Architect in Donnybrook and ODOS Architects in Ballsbridge are among the nominees for the awards held by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland.
