The Glass Bottle Site Housing Action Group will hold a public meeting this week.
The Group will meet this Wednesday October 5th at 7.30pm to talk about how the site can be saved for social, affordable and cooperative housing. The meeting will take place at the Ringsend and Irishtown Community Centre.
Formed in May, the Group has been campaigning to ensure that the site will be reserved for 100% social housing. A series of protests occurred in response to government planning rules that only the standard 10% of the houses could be reserved for social housing, which the group criticized as being an “outrageously low” figure.
