Litter goes home

It took a while but midway through the summer holidays the playground at Sean Moore Park was finally opened. Dublin City Council also quickly added the necessary protective netting behind the goal of the back pitch, in time to have both playing fields available for all the champion and promotion games.

View through the net: the playground at Sean Moore Park

There are climbing frames, a zip line, a pirate ship, swings, a red white light tower (as a nod to the two real ones), and benches and picnic tables to sit down for a snack. One thing is something though, rubbish bins. For now, the message is: please take all your wrappings, bottles and food leftovers with you. The one bin at the footpath to the beach is not enough.
