Vaccine trials under way

The name of the first person to be on the trial run for a possible vaccine is Jennifer Haller.

She was the first of four persons who received a dose of mRNA-1273 per injection at the Kaiser Permanent Research institute in Seattle just over a week ago on March 16th.

This vaccine is being developed by American Biotechcompany Moderna.

In upcoming weeks 45 people aged between 18 and 55 will participate voluntarily. They will be injected with two doses and receive a payment of $110 US dollars.

But the whole process to develop a vaccine for public use will take at least another year up to 18 months.

It is only one of just under 50 projects currently under away in labs all over the world searching for vaccines and treatment options.
